Amazon Studios is expanding its fantasy footprint with the acquisition of Holly Black's bestselling novel series, The Folk of the Air. Ridley Scott and his production company, Scott Free Productions, have teamed up with Amazon to adapt the treacherous world of Elfhame into a massive new fantasy adaptation.
The novels follow Jude Duarte, a young girl raised in a magical realm after her parents are brutally murdered. She must navigate the bloodthirsty politics and shifting alliances of the High Court of Faerie, where mortals occupy the lowest rung of the social hierarchy.
