Rogers' 'Deep Story' Offers Insights for Transformational Experience Creation
Bob Rogers, founder of BRC Imagination Arts and veteran attraction creator, has released his new book 'Deep Story: Complete Guide for Creating Transformational Visitor Attractions'. The book offers advice on creative processes, goals, structure, brainstorming, and transformation storytelling. With over three decades of experience in the industry, Rogers' clients have included Walt Disney Co., NASA, Coca-Cola, Heineken, General Motors, and more.
Rogers emphasizes that his book is not just for aspiring theme park designers, but also for anyone looking to create engaging experiences. He notes that while many focus on big-name possibilities like Disney or Universal, there are hundreds of thousands of jobs in the industry as a whole, including museums, corporate visitor centers, and World's Fair pavilions.
The book is organized around guiding principles such as 'No one cares. It isn't about you' and 'Consider addressing the question that should never be asked'. Rogers believes these principles can be applied to any industry where storytelling is key. He shares examples from his own experiences, including a stint in the Magic Shop at Disneyland, where he learned valuable lessons from a veteran magician.
'Deep Story' has been published by Peter E. Randall Publisher and will be available on September 8th.
