RTX Joins Forces with Boeing and Pentagon to Boost SM-3 Production
RTX, a leading defense contractor, has partnered with Boeing and the U.S. Department of War to accelerate production of key components for the Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) family of interceptors.
The effort aims to increase industrial output for weapons that support the U.S. Navy's sea-based defense against ballistic missiles and other advanced threats.
RTX stated in a social media post, 'Meeting evolving threats requires delivering critical defense capabilities at greater speed and scale.'
The production push advances framework agreements established with Boeing and the Department of War, which cover production of components for the SM-3 Block IB and Block IIA interceptors.
