Goldman Sachs has expressed bullish sentiments on the Indian rupee, predicting it will outperform its Asian peers due to Reserve Bank of India policy measures and reduced Russian oil imports. The rupee strengthened to 94.39 against the US dollar as a result. Meanwhile, Tata Motors made a significant move by launching an all-cash voluntary offer worth 3.82 billion euros to acquire Iveco Group through its Dutch arm TML CV Holdings.

The acquisition bid highlights Tata Motors' expansion plans in Europe. The company's shares have been trading range-bound, opening flat around 23,888. IT stocks faced downward pressure during this period, while broader market counters showed resilience.
