Russia Targets US-Linked Assets as Ukraine Conflict Escalates
Russian forces launched a massive drone assault on a Coca-Cola production plant in Velyka Dymerka, Ukraine. The strike occurred during the day and caused significant damage to the facility.
The flames engulfed the factory grounds quickly, with thick black smoke pouring out of the sprawling complex. Fortunately, no workers were injured in the attack, according to Coca-Cola's statement.
The company confirmed that its production facility in Brovary was damaged in a drone attack on September 3. Officials are now working with local authorities to assess the total damage and determine the extent of the destruction.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that the location was not chosen by accident. He argued that the Russian military deliberately targeted a massive American commercial asset, sending a political warning to America.
Zelenskyy stated that these destructive strikes serve a dual purpose: terrorizing civilians and ruining the domestic economy. This is not the first time foreign corporate property has taken a direct hit in Ukraine.
