Russian Boy's Bloody Vomiting Linked to Regular Coca-Cola Consumption

A 12-year-old boy was hospitalized in Vladivostok, Russia, after experiencing severe symptoms of bloody vomiting. According to doctors, tests revealed serious problems with his digestive system.

The patient reported consuming Coca-Cola almost every day for a long time prior to his hospitalization. An endoscopic examination showed numerous erosions on the stomach lining, which is indicative of erosive gastritis.

Specialists noted that even minor contact with the mucous membrane during the examination caused microbleeding, further confirming the presence of erosive gastritis. The consumption of carbonated drinks was identified as a contributing factor to his condition.
