Russian drones attacked Kyiv and its region on September 3, causing injuries and damage to several locations. According to Vitaliy Klitschko, the capital's mayor, at least nine people were injured in the strikes, with six hospitalized, including a 12-year-old girl.
The attacks continued throughout the day, with air raid alerts announced several times in Kyiv. The Air Force of Ukraine reported that reactive drones were moving towards the city from both the north and the south, with new groups joining the attack.
In one incident, a Russian drone hit a nine-story residential building in the Holosiivskyi district, causing a fire to break out on several floors. Fifteen people were evacuated from the building, but one fatality was reported later by the Kyiv City Military Administration.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that one of the Russian drones struck the Coca-Cola plant in Brovary, Kyiv region, which he noted is an American-owned enterprise. He stated that this strike was a signal to the USA and called for Ukraine to respond with 'asymmetric operations.'
