Russia's Economy Takes a Hit as Ukraine Strikes Major Logistics Hubs
Russia's economic woes continue to grow as Ukrainian drone strikes target major logistics hubs. The latest attack, which occurred in Orenburg, forced over 300 workers to evacuate the Amazon-like facility. This is the second time Ozon, a Russian online marketplace, has been hit in two days.
The first targeted Ozon logistics centre was still ablaze on Sunday, 24 hours after being struck by a Ukrainian drone. The attack has left the Russian economy reeling, with President Putin admitting that Ukraine's strikes are causing significant damage.
Putin claimed that Kyiv is using 'Western handlers' to help carry out the attacks. In response, Moscow has pulled its ambassador from Britain, downgrading diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Kremlin has yet to submit a new candidate for the position.
