Ukraine's HUR intelligence agency has made another significant discovery in Russia's military arsenal. The agency found an Nvidia Jetson micro-computer, a product of American technology company Nvidia, in Russia's new S-71 'Monokhrom' cruise missile.

The S-71 is a fully autonomous long-range strike system designed to engage both stationary and moving targets. However, the use of AI technologies in such systems poses a significant problem: determining what exactly they are attacking. In this case, the Nvidia Jetson chip is likely used for visual or sensor data processing to identify targets or navigate.

The discovery is part of a larger pattern of Russia's reliance on foreign technology components. Ukraine has documented hundreds of foreign parts in Russian missiles and drones, despite international sanctions. The identified components include parts of a passive radar seeker used by Geran-2 drones and Chinese Honpho TS130C-01 cameras from the jet-powered Geran-4 drone.

HUR framed the discovery as an argument for tighter enforcement of international sanctions against Russia. Specialists and Ukrainian research institutions continue to study Russian weapons, tracing the origin of electronic components to strengthen measures against them.
