Ryan Sieg Secures First Career Victory at Daytona
Ryan Sieg, a 15-year racing veteran, achieved his first career victory at Daytona International Speedway in the Winn-Dixie 250 Powered by Coca-Cola. The win marked a significant milestone for Sieg and his family-owned team, RSS Racing, who had been operating as an independent entry.
Sieg faced early setbacks during the race but managed to jockey for position from behind, navigating through traffic and avoiding a major wreck on the superspeedway. He acknowledged the mental and physical demands of competing over a long career, saying 'It's tough sometimes, it's a bummer a lot of the times and you never think it's ever going to go your way, and you just got to be strong and just try to chase your dreams, and that's what I've been doing.'
Despite earning the win at Daytona, Sieg did not make the cut for the playoffs, finishing his season. The top 12 finishers from the series will advance and continue in their postseason.
