Ryanair Diversifies Cloud Portfolio with Google Cloud Deal
Ryanair has added Google Cloud to its lineup of cloud providers, signing a five-year agreement that will see the airline deploy Google Workspace and Google Cloud services across its workforce.
The deal is part of Ryanair's dual-cloud strategy, which also includes a renewed agreement with AWS. The airline will use Google's Gemini Enterprise AI platform to automate decision-making and optimize logistics, as well as Google DeepMind's AlphaEvolve to refine algorithms and WeatherNext for forecasting and maintenance planning.
Ryanair aims to grow its passenger numbers to 300 million by 2034, and the dual-cloud setup is designed to provide resilience in case of outages. The airline will continue to use AWS services including Amazon Quick, Amazon Bedrock, and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.
