A Ryanair Boeing 737 flight from Thessaloniki to Memmingen returned to Greece on July 10, 2026, after a passenger window dislodged during takeoff.

The incident occurred when an engine failure caused parts to hit the plane and break the window, partially sucking out a 61-year-old male passenger in the window seat.

A Greek doctor who treated the passenger on the tarmac said the passenger's wife was holding his feet to stop him from being completely sucked out of the aircraft.

The plane landed safely back in Thessaloniki and the passenger is currently in the hospital.
