The PGA of America has announced a new qualification system for the 2027 U.S. Ryder Cup team, which will feature a points-based system and six automatic selections.

According to the new rules, points will be awarded to all U.S. players across 31 events in 2027, starting with The American Express on January 18-24 and concluding at the BMW Championship on August 16-22.

The top six eligible players on the U.S. Ryder Cup Points list following the BMW Championship will earn automatic selections to the team, while U.S. Captain Jim Furyk will make his six captain's picks during the week of August 30 after the Tour Championship.
