SaaS Titans Salesforce and ServiceNow Engage in Full-Scale Competition
Salesforce and ServiceNow are intensifying their competition as they expand into each other's core businesses. While Salesforce dominates the customer relationship management (CRM) market, ServiceNow has been gaining ground with its sales and order management products.
ServiceNow's CEO Bill McDermott publicly stated his ambition for the company to become a leader in the CRM market in April 2025. The company has acquired Pyramid Analytics, bolstering its data analytics capabilities and enabling it to compete directly with Salesforce's Tableau.
Salesforce, on the other hand, is expanding into ServiceNow's traditional turf by integrating IT services, HR services, and customer support into a unified platform. However, despite this expansion, Salesforce still boasts a more mature product ecosystem in the CRM market.
