SaaStr Abandons Salesforce UI, Sees 10x Data Usage Increase
For six months now, SaaStr has been running its operations without logging into Salesforce directly. The company still pays for and depends on the CRM system but instead uses a custom-built agent called Claudeforce to access its data through the API.
This change was made possible by a significant shift in SaaStr's operations, which now rely heavily on 20+ production AI agents. As revenue grew 47% year-over-year after being down 19%, the company realized that the constraint was no longer about the CRM interface but rather whether its agents could reach the data.
The decision to go headless with Salesforce has been a resounding success for SaaStr, with data usage increasing by 10x and spend rising by 40%. The company's AI VP of Revenue now pushes daily updates into Slack in real-time, eliminating the need for manual compilation and reporting.
