Sacombank Deploys Scalable Hybrid Cloud Core Banking Platform with IBM Power

Vietnam's Sacombank has completed a major upgrade to its core banking platform using IBM Power and Red Hat OpenShift hybrid cloud infrastructure.

The new system, which triples deployment velocity and cuts server count in half, underpins retail and SME banking operations for millions of customers, processing 13 million transactions per day.

This achievement comes as Vietnam's non-cash payment transactions grew more than 40% by volume in early 2026, putting pressure on core banking infrastructure to handle increasing demand.

The upgraded platform is powered by IBM Power servers orchestrated by Red Hat OpenShift, which packages Temenos Core Banking as portable, auto-scaling container workloads.
