Sacombank Powers Up with Hybrid Cloud Upgrade
Vietnam's Sacombank has upgraded its banking system to provide faster and more secure services for its millions of customers. The bank moved to a hybrid cloud environment running on Red Hat OpenShift and IBM Power infrastructure, replacing an on-premises deployment.
The upgrade was made using the latest version of Temenos Core Banking platform, which serves 13 million transactions daily. According to Temenos, the upgrade improved application performance by 200%, reduced deployment cycles by three times, and decreased server footprint by 50%.
Sacombank's Deputy CEO, Luu Danh Duc, said that the upgrade is a 'milestone in our digital transformation journey'. He noted that the new system will allow them to 'accelerate innovation' and provide 'secure, seamless banking experiences' for their customers.
