Salazar Wagers on Musk's SpaceX and Buffett's Picks
Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar has made several recent stock transactions that could indicate her bets on the success of Elon Musk's SpaceX and Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway.
In August, Salazar disclosed buying $1,000 to $15,000 in shares of Space Exploration Technologies Corp (SPCX) on two separate occasions. This purchase may show her confidence in Musk's vision for space exploration and development.
Salazar also bought Berkshire Hathaway B (BRK) shares in August with a purchase of $1,000 to $15,000 in shares. This follows her previous purchase of Berkshire stock in July. As Buffett stepped down as CEO at the end of 2025, Salazar's investment may be based on the continued success of Buffett's old picks and/or new picks by current CEO Greg Abel.
Salazar's trades also included buying shares of Merck & Co. Inc (MRK) and Moderna Inc (MRNA). She purchased these stocks on August 19, following news that Moderna shared about the successful Phase 3 melanoma cancer vaccine using Merck's Keytruda.
