Salesforce and Anthropic Launch Claudeforce Partnership with Claude Plugin
San Francisco-based Salesforce and Anthropic announced an expanded strategic partnership on August 26, 2026, which includes a plugin called Claudeforce that integrates Claude with Salesforce.
The plugin carries 37 prebuilt sales skills, including meeting preparation, deal health review, and pipeline review. The two companies state that these skills were built jointly and are designed to draw on Claude's reasoning, agentic tool use, and generative interface generation capabilities.
The onboarding sequence for Claudeforce involves reading a seller's enterprise context across Salesforce, Slack, and other connectors active in Claude, then assembling a tailored dashboard populated with that seller's accounts, pipeline, and live data. Governance is handled by routing rather than replication, allowing business rules to be enforced at the point of execution.
The partnership also includes four separate strands of work: a Salesforce plugin running inside Claude, Claude running inside Salesforce products, Claude installed as the default model across Slack, and a reciprocal commercial arrangement in which each company becomes a significant customer of the other. The first strand has a stated availability date of September 2026.
Salesforce frames this partnership as a shift towards agent-mediated workflows, where agents reach data, workflows, and rules directly to turn software into a system powering every interface rather than a destination in itself.
