Salesforce and Anthropic's Claudeforce Partnership Set to Disrupt Enterprise Software
Industry watchers are anticipating sweeping changes in enterprise software following last month's Claudeforce announcement by Salesforce and Anthropic. This expanded strategic partnership will allow joint customers to leverage Salesforce data, workflows, business logic, actions, and governance within Claude.
According to Daniel Newman, CEO and principal analyst of The Futurum Group, 'the era of usability has arrived.' This is a combination of frontier and leading AI intelligence being able to access high-value data trapped inside systems of record. Claudeforce allows joint customers to do just that.
'The new world order will be how can enterprises stitch together various applications to support their own specific business processes,' says David Menninger, executive director and distinguished analyst at ISG. Agentic AI will serve as the glue between systems, with enterprise software like Salesforce governing data and workflows while AI models provide a semantic interface.
The model presented by Claudeforce would solve two of the most common complaints about enterprise software: usability and customization. Newman expects a wave of new partnerships and consolidation across the enterprise software industry in the coming months.
