Salesforce and Nvidia Unveil Koa, a Cost-Effective AI Model for Enterprise Customers

Salesforce and Nvidia have developed Koa, an AI model designed to excel at sales, marketing, and customer-support-related tasks. This new reasoning model is built on Nvidia's open-weight Nemotron model and was post-trained by Salesforce to meet the needs of its enterprise customers.

Koa diverges from the typical approach taken by AI labs, which often require enterprises to upload files, code, prompts, and feedback directly into their models and agents. In contrast, Koa is an open-weight alternative that can be used without ingesting any actual customer data, reducing the risk of leaks.

The model's architecture allows it to use fewer tokens to perform tasks, making it a cost-effective option for Salesforce customers. Additionally, Koa follows all of a customer's data requirements and security embedded within Salesforce, providing an added layer of protection.
