Salesforce Approves Executive Deferred Compensation Plan with No Employer Match
Salesforce has announced that its Compensation Committee approved an Executive Deferred Compensation Plan on September 2, 2026. This plan allows eligible participants to defer up to 75% of their base salary and up to 90% of any annual performance bonus.
The company's obligations under this plan are considered general unsecured and unfunded, meaning that the compensation will be paid out in accordance with the terms of the plan. Participants can choose from notional investment options designated by the Plan administrator and may make individual investment choices.
The distribution elections for participants include options for lump sum or installment payments, with timing based on participant elections related to separation from service or specified payment dates. Salesforce may establish a rabbi trust to facilitate benefit payments, but any trust assets will remain subject to claims by the company's general creditors in insolvency situations.
