Salesforce Bolsters AI Integration with Anthropic Partnership
Salesforce has announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic to integrate its AI model Claude into Salesforce's services. The new integration, dubbed Claudeforce, will allow Claude to access customer data and other information stored in Salesforce, enabling it to carry out everyday tasks more easily.
The expansion includes the launch of a plugin offering 37 pre-built sales skills, which will be available through Salesforce in Claude. This plugin will enable sellers and agents to reason over live revenue context, automate pipeline updates, and take governed action directly from Claude.
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff has pushed back against fears of a 'SaaSpocalypse', stating that frontier models depend on CRM and do not replace it. He noted that nine out of the top 10 leading AI companies use Salesforce and Slack, with spending on these platforms surging 435% from last year.
