Salesforce Boosts Outlook on AI Integration Partnership
Salesforce, a leading US enterprise software company, has raised its revenue and profit forecasts for fiscal year 2027. The company's second-quarter revenue grew 11% to $11.35 billion, while adjusted earnings per share (EPS) more than doubled to $5.90.
The increased guidance also incorporates expected contributions from the acquisitions of Contentful and Fin, which are expected to close in the coming weeks. Salesforce's AI agent platform Agentforce, enterprise data integration platform Data 360, and workplace collaboration platform Slack continued to grow, alleviating pressure from fluctuations in software license revenue.
Salesforce has partnered with Anthropic to launch Claudeforce, integrating Claude into its data and business processes. The first product launched by the two companies is a plugin called Salesforce in Claude, which connects the Claude model with Salesforce's data and business processes, allowing sales personnel to handle tasks directly within Claude.
The partnership may become the primary operating mode for enterprise software in the future, according to Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce. The company has established security safeguards to protect customer data and prevent artificial intelligence models from becoming uncontrollable.
