Salesforce Builds AI Around Existing Enterprise Systems
Salesforce has reported record fiscal second-quarter revenue of $11.35 billion, up 11% year over year. The company's remaining performance obligations rose 14% in constant currency to $33.5 billion, while free cash flow climbed 81% to $1.1 billion.
According to Salesforce Chair and CEO Marc Benioff, the company is building an architecture where data and applications provide the foundation for AI agents and interfaces. 'These four layers, data, apps and semantics, agents, and interface, when it's turned on together, that is when you start to see the true enterprise transformation,' said Benioff.
The company has introduced Claudeforce, which connects Anthropic's Claude with Salesforce information, workflows, and governance. This product is expected to become generally available in September around Dreamforce.
