Salesforce CEO Rejects AI Job Replacement Fears: 'Nonsense'
Despite concerns that AI will replace jobs in the tech industry, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff has dismissed these fears as 'nonsense.' In an earnings call this week, Benioff stated that new technology is improving his company's offerings and bringing in more revenue.
Benioff referenced the term 'SaaSpocalypse,' which refers to the threat machine learning poses to yet another job sector. He argued that Salesforce's products have seen year-over-year growth, rather than decline as some predicted.
Benioff emphasized that his company's programs manage businesses' customer relationships and have not been replaced by AI. In fact, he said nine out of 10 major AI firms use Salesforce products themselves.
