Salesforce has received approval from the US Defense Department to handle sensitive data on its Agentforce 360 platform. The platform, designed for autonomous AI agents and complex data unification, is now authorized to operate at DOD Impact Level 5. This designation allows Salesforce to expand its presence in the national security market, particularly with its Missionforce business unit launched in 2025.

The Army Human Resources Command is the first Defense Department component to deploy Agentforce 360 in the new IL5 environment. The platform is expected to support around 1,500 cases per day through automated case summarization. Salesforce aims to be treated as a prime contractor by the DOD.
