Salesforce's acquisition of Contentful Global has received clearance from the Australian antitrust regulator. The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission determined that there is minimal horizontal overlap between Salesforce and Contentful in the supply of content management systems.

According to the commission, Salesforce provides customer relationship-management software and other software-as-a-service solutions, while Contentful specializes in digital experience software, specifically a content management system.

The regulator stated that the merged entity would still face competition from alternative suppliers such as Acquia, Adobe, Contently, Optimizely, and Sanity.
