Salesforce Cuts 59 Jobs Amid AI-Driven Restructuring Efforts
Salesforce has announced plans to lay off 59 employees at its offices in Bellevue and Seattle. The layoffs, which are set to begin on October 5, 2026, affect a range of roles including executives, engineers, designers, and product managers.
The impacted locations include the 929 Office Tower in Downtown Bellevue and the company's Data 1 building in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood. This is not the first time Salesforce has cut jobs in the region; last September, the company let go of 93 Seattle-area workers due to an increased reliance on artificial intelligence.
According to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) filed with the Washington State Employment Security Department, Salesforce employed around 3,650 people in the Puget Sound region before the layoffs. Despite these cuts, the company has recently renewed a large lease at the Data 1 building, indicating that it still sees value in maintaining a presence in the area.
