Salesforce Defies 'SaaSpocalypse' with Record Earnings and AI-Powered Growth
Salesforce posted a significant earnings surge of ~13% after its Q2 results were announced, defying concerns about the state of the software-as-a-service (SaaS) market. The company's revenue reached $11.3B, up 11% year over year, while current revenue guidance was increased to $46.1B, $46.4B.
Agentforce and Data 360 ARR reached nearly $3.9B, a staggering increase of more than 210% year over year. Agentforce ARR exceeded $1.5B, up more than 240%. Marc Benioff pushed back on the 'SaaSpocalypse' narrative by announcing Claudeforce with Anthropic, pairing Anthropic's AI with Salesforce's CRM platform.
Benioff emphasized that software is not dead, citing Salesforce and CrowdStrike as examples of successful companies. He also highlighted the potential for AI to enhance customer relationships and drive business growth.
