Salesforce Deploys AI-Powered Reasoning Model with NVIDIA Tech
Salesforce has announced the launch of Koa, its reasoning model built on NVIDIA Nemotron technology. This new model is designed to improve customer relationship management (CRM) performance by understanding complex business processes and workflows.
Koa was developed using a synthetic dataset based on enterprise knowledge from Salesforce's CRM deployments. The model was trained with NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super, a post-training process that helps the model understand the structure of deals, service cases, and workflows across various industries.
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff stated that Koa 'puts knowledge inside the model itself.' This means the model can learn from synthetic scenarios reflecting workflows across 14 different industries without relying on customer data. The training process involved Supervised Fine-Tuning and reinforcement learning with Group Relative Policy Optimization using NVIDIA NeMo RL, NeMo Gym, and NeMo AutoModel.
Koa is currently in use within Salesforce and is being tested by pilot customers including 1-800Accountant, Baxter Credit Union, Engine, Formula 1, UChicago Medicine, and Xero. The model will become available to all select pilot customers by Winter 2026 in the US regions.
