Salesforce Ditches 'Agentforce' Label on Product Names
Salesforce has quietly dropped 'Agentforce' from the names of some of its biggest products, just a week before its Dreamforce customer conference. According to The Information, this change undoes a rebrand that was less than a year old and affects about two dozen products. Salesforce added the 'Agentforce' label to these products last October.
The flagship sales product, for example, was once known as Sales Cloud but became Agentforce Sales after the rebranding effort. However, it's now back to being called Sales Cloud again. The company has not provided an explanation for this change, and its spokespeople did not respond to requests for comment from The Information.
The product line is still growing, with annual revenue exceeding $1.5 billion in Salesforce's July quarter, a 240% year-over-year increase. However, the change may cause confusion for customers who have already learned the new names and vocabulary associated with Agentforce.
