Salesforce Expands AI Ecosystem with Databricks, Google Cloud
Salesforce is expanding its AI agent ecosystem by linking up with major data and cloud providers. The company has already expanded cooperation with Databricks, Google Cloud, Snowflake, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), building an environment where Agentforce can use corporate data scattered across multiple systems.
The core of this expansion is a zero-copy method that uses data in place without physically replicating or moving it. This structure allows agents to access the necessary data and work context while companies keep their existing data storage environments intact.
Salesforce acquired Informatica last year for about $8 billion, or around 11.3 trillion won, which is being combined with Agentforce to improve the reliability of corporate data used by AI. Industry experts say that for companies to apply AI agents effectively, data connectivity and governance are just as important as model performance.
Salesforce's integration with external data platforms is also widening. The company has expanded cooperation with Databricks in June and agreed to support a 'federated search' that lets users search data across both companies. It has also linked Agentforce with Gemini Enterprise on Google Cloud, enabling AI agents to be used in Slack and Google Workspace.
