Salesforce Eyes $2 Billion Acquisition of AI Research Platform ListenLabs

Salesforce is reportedly in talks to acquire AI-based customer research platform ListenLabs for $2 billion, according to Business Insider. The negotiations have not been finalized and could fall through.

ListenLabs was founded in 2023 and provides AI-based market analysis services to clients including Anthropic, Google, and Nestle. In a funding round earlier this year, it was valued at $500 million with participation from Sequoia Capital, Ribbit Capital, and Conviction Partners.

This deal would be another major acquisition in the AI space, following Nvidia's purchase of Hugging Face for about $12.9 billion and Stripe's acquisition of OpenRouter for about $8 billion. Salesforce was also said to have considered acquiring Hugging Face but ultimately did not.
