Salesforce Hikes Revenue Forecast as AI Momentum Grows
Salesforce, a leading software company, has raised its annual revenue and profit forecasts following the success of its AI-powered tools. The company's shares rose by 14% in extended trading after it announced a new initiative called 'Claudeforce', which combines its capabilities with Anthropic's Claude AI models.
The partnership between Salesforce and Anthropic, first struck in June, has been gaining momentum. Salesforce has also seen growth in areas such as Agentforce, Data 360, and Slack, despite volatility in license revenue. The company expects fiscal 2027 revenue to be between $46.1 billion and $46.4 billion, a slight increase from its previous outlook.
Salesforce's finance chief Robin Washington attributed the raised revenue guidance to the success of Agentforce, Data 360, and Slack, as well as the expected contributions from the Contentful and Fin acquisitions. Rebecca Wettemann, CEO of Valoir, noted that 'some big deals announced in the last quarter are driving the numbers, but so is greater availability of more prepackaged, easier-to-deploy AI agents.'
