Salesforce Pledges $27M for Education in AI Era
Salesforce founder Marc Benioff is making good on his promise to give back to his community, announcing $27 million in new education grants nationwide. This commitment reflects both the urgency of the AI era and Salesforce's long-standing philanthropic identity.
The funds will support public-school districts in San Francisco, Oakland, New York City, Chicago, and Indianapolis, as well as organizations working with educators, school leaders, and students on professional development, career preparation, and technology skills.
This latest investment brings Salesforce's total commitment to public education to over $180 million nationwide, including $156 million in the Bay Area. Benioff's approach emphasizes that corporate giving should not be limited to capital, but also involve access to technology, employee time, and a sustained presence in supported institutions.
