Salesforce Rethinks Interface: CRM Capabilities Removed, Integrated in Other Environments
Salesforce has made significant announcements at its Dreamforce conference, including the removal of CRM from its own interface. The company is shifting towards making data and workflows available in other environments such as Slack, Claude, Gemini Enterprise, and Amazon Quick. This move allows users to access CRM capabilities without needing to navigate Salesforce's platform directly.
One key aspect of this change is the integration with Google Search, where checkout will become possible directly within search results. Merchants can send their product catalogs to Google Merchant Center through an integration, allowing consumers to complete purchases on the Google interface via the Universal Commerce Protocol.
A new layer called AIforce enables the use of Salesforce data and business logic in other AI interfaces. This includes Claudeforce, which combines Salesforce context with Anthropic's AI technology; Slackforce, which brings context into Slack; and Agentforce Coworker, which runs within the familiar Salesforce environment.
Salesforce is also introducing Koa, its proprietary reasoning model for CRM, built on NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super. This model has been trained on synthetic scenarios designed to replicate workflows from various industries and has shown promising results in CRM tasks.
