Salesforce Rolls Out Enterprise AI Harness to Tame Agentic Sprawl
Salesforce has strengthened its position in the market by releasing Enterprise AI Harness, a tool that helps companies manage their artificial intelligence (AI) agents and data access. This move is seen as a direct challenge to ServiceNow, a rival company in the industry.
The new product combines features from six different Salesforce products, including MuleSoft Agent Fabric and Informatica, into one platform. Enterprise AI Harness provides users with a context layer of data, metadata, and semantics, as well as an AI reasoning and orchestration component. It also includes user-defined governance guardrails and controls, security tools that enforce identity, privacy, and permissions policies, and observability tools for visibility into agent performance and costs.
Salesforce's executive vice president and general manager Savinay Berry likened the evolution of agentic AI management to the early days of cloud adoption. He predicted a future where there will be consolidation and simplification in the market, similar to how the cloud journey played out for customers.
