Salesforce's stock rose nearly 1.6% on Monday after the company announced its acquisition of Fin, an AI-powered customer support platform, for approximately $3.6 billion.

The deal is set to close during the fourth quarter of Salesforce's 2027 fiscal year, which will extend into early 2027 due to the company's unique financial calendar.

Salesforce aims to integrate Fin's advanced conversational AI capabilities directly into its core ecosystem, specifically leveraging the platform's proprietary systems and engineering talent to supercharge Agentforce, its flagship platform for deploying autonomous digital workers.

Fin co-founder and CEO Eoghan McCabe assured existing clients that day-to-day operations would proceed without disruption, with the backing of Salesforce expected to hasten the rollout of their newest AI products.
