Salesforce Shares Soar on Strong Q2 AI Uptake and Claudeforce Launch
Salesforce (CRM) shares have risen by 22.4% after the company reported strong Q2 results, which included rapid uptake of AI products such as Agentforce and Slackbot. Revenue for the second quarter came in at $11.35 billion, with net income reaching $3.53 billion.
Salesforce also raised its full-year outlook and highlighted the success of its partnership with Anthropic, which led to the launch of Claudeforce. This new tool embeds Claude deeply into Salesforce's data and workflows, allowing AI agents to be powered across Salesforce, Slack, and third-party tools via AIforce.
The Claudeforce launch is seen as a key near-term proof point for Salesforce's thesis that AI will drive growth. However, investors should be aware of the risks associated with rapidly evolving AI platforms compressing pricing power and margins over time.
