Salesforce is refocusing its efforts on bringing tangible business value to Sri Lankan companies, shifting away from superficial buzz around artificial intelligence (AI) and emphasizing real-world applications.

The company's managing director for India and Sri Lanka, Mankiran Chowhan, noted that the 'honeymoon period' of casual AI experimentation has ended, and corporate leadership now demands measurable financial returns.

'Today, we live in a world where AI is no longer an experiment,' Chowhan said. 'The question is: how do you use AI in the context of your business to get some value? And you are going to get value when you work on real problems.'

Salesforce's internal operations serve as an example, where deploying autonomous service agents achieved an 86% first-call resolution rate and eliminated wait times for clients.
