Salesforce Soars After Beating Earnings Estimates
Salesforce shares surged in pre-market trading after reporting better-than-expected second-quarter financial results. The company delivered revenue of $11.35 billion, beating consensus estimates by $30 million.
Adjusted earnings per share came in at $5.90, significantly higher than the estimated $3.27. Salesforce also raised its full-year adjusted earnings guidance from a range of $14.06 to $14.12 per share to a new range of $16.67 to $16.71.
In addition to its own strong performance, several other stocks moved in pre-market trading. Mercer International gained 68% after announcing Canadian government funding for its Alberta pulp mill.
