Salesforce Soars on Strong Earnings and Revenue Growth
Salesforce (CRM) stock surged 25% in just five trading days, propelled by its strong earnings report on Thursday. The software company's quarterly revenue reached $11.35 billion, surpassing analysts' expectations of $11.32 billion and marking an 11% year-over-year increase.
The company also reported adjusted earnings per share at $5.90, exceeding estimates of $3.27 a share. Net income jumped 87% from the same period last year, totaling $3.53 billion or $4.29 a share. Salesforce's strategic investment in Anthropic contributed a significant $2.6 billion to its revenue.
The company's partnership with Anthropic has been expanding, and CEO Marc Benioff and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei recently unveiled the 'Claudeforce' effort, which integrates Claude's chatbot with Salesforce's sales tools.
