Salesforce Stock Divided on Wall Street as Analysts Offer Contrasting Views
Wall Street analysts are cautiously optimistic about Salesforce (CRM) stock, but not everyone shares this view. Analyst Tal Liani of Bank of America has a Sell rating and predicts a price target of $160 for CRM, indicating potential downside from its current level. This contrasts with the consensus of Wall Street's analysts, who expect an average price target of $238.94 based on their 12-month forecast.
Over the past month, Salesforce stock has risen by 26.0%, but it is still down 15.7% over the last year. Liani's latest report highlights concerns about the company's ability to deliver growth acceleration in the second half of this year, particularly with regards to its core business maturing. He models 2Q revenue at $11.3 billion, up 10.5% year-over-year.
However, Liani notes that organic growth, adjusted for the Informatica deal, is slower and remains a topic of debate. While Salesforce's expanding AI portfolio is seen as a key driver of growth, he questions whether AI-driven gains can fully offset the maturation of its core business.
