Salesforce Stock Plummets Amid AI Optimism
Salesforce's stock price dropped by 3.1% on Thursday, reaching a low of $183.00 before rebounding to $186.9590.
The company traded 11,190,601 shares during mid-day trading, a decline of 19% from its average session volume of 13,756,028 shares.
This drop comes despite several positive developments for the company.
Salesforce announced that its IL5-authorized Agentforce 360 AI agents have been deployed by the U.S. Army Human Resources Command, a move that could validate Salesforce's ability to provide secure, autonomous AI services for mission-critical workloads.
CEO Marc Benioff also reaffirmed management's confidence in Agentforce, stating that concerns about AI eliminating the need for Salesforce are 'dead wrong.'
