Salesforce's stock surged by 22.6% on August 27 following its Q2 earnings report, which exceeded market expectations. The company's strong performance was driven by its agentic AI platform Agentforce and Data 360, both of which saw significant growth in annual recurring revenue (ARR).

Agentforce's ARR skyrocketed by over 240% to $1.5 billion, while Data 360 tripled its ARR to $2.4 billion. The combined ARR of these two platforms climbed 210% year-over-year to $3.9 billion.

The company's revenue jumped by 11% year-over-year to $11.35 billion, beating the high end of its guidance range and analyst consensus. Subscription and support revenue increased by 12% to $10.82 billion, with much of the growth coming from Agentforce 360 and Slack platform, which saw revenue surge 43%.

Salesforce also issued upbeat guidance for fiscal Q3, forecasting revenue to increase by 11% to 12% to between $11.42 billion and $11.5 billion. Adjusted EPS is expected to range from $3.42 to $3.44.
