Salesforce Surges on AI Demand, Raises Revenue Guidance
Salesforce has reported better-than-expected second-quarter earnings and raised its revenue guidance for the fiscal year due to strong demand for its artificial intelligence (AI) products. The company's net income reached $3.53 billion, or $4.29 a share, on revenue of $11.34 billion, up 11% from a year ago.
Salesforce cited AI demand as the key driver behind its success, with AI-driven features such as Agentforce and Data 360 annual recurring revenue nearing $3.9 billion, up 210% from last year. The company's CEO, Marc Benioff, stated that 'AI is delivering value across every layer of our platform.'
Salesforce also announced Claudeforce, an integration with Anthropic's Claude platform and Agentforce, which combines the strengths of both technologies to provide a seamless user experience. Additionally, the company reported a gain on investments of $2.61 billion, largely due to its stake in Anthropic.
In terms of guidance, Salesforce expects third-quarter revenue to be between $11.42 billion and $11.5 billion, with non-GAAP earnings ranging from $3.42 to $3.44 a share. For fiscal 2027, the company projects revenue of $46.1 billion to $46.4 billion, up 11% to 12% from last year.
