Salesforce Surges on Strong Q2 Results, Bookings Re-Accelerate
Salesforce reported Q2 FY27 results on August 26, with the stock surging by 23% following the announcement. The company's re-acceleration in bookings was a key takeaway from the report.
The financials showed revenue of $11.345B, up 11%, while current remaining performance obligation (cRPO) reached $33.5B, an increase of 14%. This is significant because cRPO reflects deals signed in the last 90 days, whereas revenue represents deals from 12 to 24 months ago.
The growth in bookings was largely driven by the organic business, which grew at a rate of 6% when excluding the impact of Informatica's acquisition. The Data and Platform segment saw significant growth, with Data 360 ingesting 104 trillion records, including 82 trillion via Zero Copy.
