Salesforce Teams Up with Tripura Government for Digital Skills Training

Salesforce has partnered with the Directorate of Information Technology (DIT) in Tripura to provide digital skills training to over 10,000 learners by 2027. The initiative will utilize Salesforce's online learning platform, Trailhead, to offer self-paced learning opportunities to students, government employees, and entrepreneurs.

The programme aims to equip participants with capabilities in areas such as customer relationship management (CRM), business analysis, and technology fundamentals through curated learning paths for beginner and intermediate learners. Salesforce will also provide online orientation resources to help participants navigate Trailhead and their learning journeys.

The partnership is part of Tripura's efforts to build its digital and technology ecosystem. The state is developing the Tripura IT and Data Ecosystem Zone (TIDEZ) in Agartala, along with a planned IT Park and AI Centre of Excellence. Kiran Gitte, secretary, information technology, Government of Tripura, said, 'With strong policy foundations already in place, this collaboration will equip our students, government workforce, and entrepreneurs with future-ready digital skills.'

Arundhati Bhattacharya, president and CEO, Salesforce, South Asia, added that Tripura's focus on building skills alongside digital infrastructure is essential to making growth inclusive. She said, 'Through Trailhead, we are proud to help make practical learning more accessible and support students, government employees and entrepreneurs as they build capabilities for a rapidly-changing economy.'
