Salesforce Unveils Job-Ready Agents for Long-Horizon Tasks
Salesforce has updated its Agentforce platform to include a family of 'job-ready agents' that can perform long-horizon tasks across sales, service, and commerce workflows.
The newly announced portfolio includes Piper, an inbound pipeline generation agent; Hunter, an outbound sales agent; Casey, a help agent; and others that automate IT and HR requests and product comparisons.
Salesforce's move is aimed at making AI agents more accessible to end-user organizations, which have struggled with deploying and managing them in the enterprise.
According to Deloitte, only 11% of organizations have agents in production, despite 38% piloting them. Gartner expects over 40% of agentic AI projects will be cancelled by 2027 due to escalating costs or unclear business value.
